Please join us for another interesting program.  This Thursday.  Join us at 11:45 at Baja Cantina if you'd like to order lunch.  The meeting begins at noon and will conclude at 1:15 p.m.
Ian Barclay is the owner of the Desert Northwest, a specialty nursery in Sequim, Washington focused on making available water-wise plants and other rare and unusual plants not offered by most nurseries. All plants, including many unique items, are propagated and produced on site, and sold via mail-order, wholesale, retail by appointment, and regional plant sales. The nursery, opened in 2005, uses earth-friendly practices avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides. Ian is a Northwest native, having been raised in Olympia, Washington, and has been experimenting with uncommon plants since the mid 1990s. He has a Bachelors' degree in Ornamental Horticulture from WSU and has worked in both retail and wholesale contexts. He is particularly experienced with Eucalyptus, manzanita, cacti and bamboo. When not growing plants he enjoys playing ragtime on the piano, assembling jigsaw puzzles, writing, and occasionally hiking.
If you cannot join us in person please use your electronic device and the Go-To-Meeting app and log into SequimRotary.  If you have trouble, please text 360-775-5820.
