ADAPTIVE BIKE PROGRAM UPDATE

Club Gifts 2nd Specialized Bike!

July 7, 2019, Niko Rodes turned 4 years old. July 18th, he was driven to school to see his Sequim School District physical therapist, Cherry Bibler, and Club President Pat Zane to find a big surprise waiting for him. Niko, who is a non-verbal autistic, was chosen to be the second recipient of the Sequim Rotary Adaptive Bike program.

Niko is pictured in the upper photo with his mom, Ludmilla, and his father George.  In the lower photo, we see Niko with his teacher, Cherry Bibler. Niko got the feel of pedaling the specialized Rifton tricyle fairly quickly. In a few minutes Niko was very happy with his new bike.

This Rotary tricyle represents an opportunity to change the life of a small boy and help him cope with learning hardships.
