Members of the Rotary Club of Sequim enjoyed a Power Point presentation by scout Matthew Craig last Thursday.  Members of Troop 1498 spent several days traveling and acclimating to the elevation at Philmont Ranch in New Mexico.  While at Philmont Ranch they camped, hiked, biked, rappelled, horseback rode and had fun for an afternoon on segways.  Troop leader Peter Craig reported that the highlight of the scouts eleven day trip was hiking the very steep grade up Mount Baldy in the dark of early morning to share the beauty of the sunrise on the summit.  It's thanks to funding from our club they were able to include several of their special activities.  Scout Oggie Krammer wore and displayed a souvenir t-shirt  that listed their multiple camping and activity locations.
